A grassroots community group connecting people with farms, with land, and with each other through on-farm, impactful experiences.

Connecting people back to the land and back to community, one farm at a time.

Upcoming Events!

Weeding and Harvesting Party at Better Greens Farm!

Sunday, August 30th 9am to 3pm

Better Greens Farm is a collectively farmed operation run that does a lot of great work in supporting African farmers with land access, markets, tools and community as they grow their operations. Join Farm Buds as we show up to learn and support these farmers with weeding and harvesting okra!

Prepping for Tree Planting at Fair Haven Farm

We will be helping them plant fruit trees to expand their orchard. If you bring any tools, make sure to label or take pictures of them.

"Our mission is to gather, nourish and inspire our community by producing good food, grown right. We are motivated by our shared vision of thriving local communities centered around thriving farms. We are a values-driven farm using organic, regenerative and holistic management practices to grow and produce the best food. Through our work, we hope to engage, connect, and empower other farmers, farm supporters, and a community of eaters to join us in creating the food system of the future."

Chengwatana Community Farm Weekend

Friday-Sunday, October 9th-11th

With the Willow River supplying most of the border of this farm, it's situated on a beautiful 220 acres of farmland and forest. Lynn Mizner has been raising sheep, chickens (egg-layers), cattle and hogs using regenerative, rotational grazing methods as well as growing all sorts of produce to sell at local markets. Someday Lynn hopes to transition this farm into a collaborative, cooperatively run piece of farmland to support growing food, creative arts, and community.

This is a great trip for folks interested in learning about regenerative livestock operations (which helps to nurture soil to capture carbon from the air), community farming models and camping.

What We Do!

Support Small Farms

We believe in supporting small/ regenerative farms to build more resilient food systems in communities around Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Build Connection

We strive to build connections between trip participants to local food, environmental systems, and deep-rooted community.

Facilitate Hands-On Farm Experiences

We provide meaningful farm experiences that empower both farmers and event participants to not only connect with one another, but learn from each other.
