Upcoming Trips to Join This Month!

These trips are all ones we could really use an extra pair of hands with! If you are interested in joining, please click the link below to register!.

  • Maddy is converting some of her family's farm's crops from corn and soy to willow. We'll be helping her build a living willow fence.

  • Nestled in the rolling hills of the Driftless Region, D&S Gardens is a thriving small farm in Pepin, Wisconsin, owned by Sara and Faith. What began as a peaceful personal garden in 2009 quickly grew into a passion for growing fresh, local food and supporting emerging farmers and vibrant farmers markets across the region. Today, Sara not only runs D&S Gardens but also brings her energy, expertise, and deep commitment to building a strong, sustainable local food system.

We'll be helping Sara transition her berry farm from many species of berries (which all ripen / need to be harvested at different times throughout the summer) to a few that have similar harvest times to make her operations more manageable.

  • The Arrowhead Community Garden serves more than 60 growers and families across 45 plots (and has spaces available for a VERY reasonable price). The community of growers is intergenerational and includes longtime Duluth residents, people new to our community, and neighbors from diverse backgrounds cultivating culturally meaningful foods alongside staple crops.

Run with a very small budget, the garden recently got a small grant to purchase supplies to improve its infrastructure. Considering this is such an important resource for Duluth community members growing food - and it's a great community project - it's a great opportunity for folks who want to support local food access and appreciate hands-on projects.
